Dr. Kasuya received her agronomy degree in Brazil, at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, and currently is an Associate professor in the Departament of Microbiology of the same university. She is the current director of the Instituto de Biotecnologia Aplicada à Agropecuária (Bioagro, UFV), and her focus research areas are agronomy, with emphasis in microbiology and biochemistry from the soil.
