Dr. Moreira received her veterinarian degree in Brazil at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV). Maria Aparecida is currently an Associate Professor in the UFV Department of Veterinary Medicine. She acts in Veterinary preventive medicine with emphasis on veterinary microbiology and bacterial diseases, working with Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP), antimicrobial resistance, and development of recombinant vaccine candidates.
