Hilário Cuquetto Mantovani is agricultural engineer from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa. Associate Professor of the Department of Microbiology of the Universidade Federal de Viçosa and scholar in research productivity from CNPq. He is reviewer for national and international journals and current coordinator of the graduate program in Agricultural Microbiology of UFV. He acts in the area of microbiology with an emphasis on biology and physiology of microorganisms, microbial ecology and microbiology of the rumen. Research focuses on the study of the biotechnological potential of the rumen ecosystem and the development of alternatives to antimicrobials used in animal husbandry and in the preservation of food.
