Luís Augusto Nero

Luís Augusto Nero holds a bachelor’s degree and másters degree in veterinary medicine by Universidade Estadual de Londrina and PhD in Food Science from the Universidade de São Paulo. He is currently an associate professor at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, department of veterinary medicine, and researcher in the area of Microbiology of food of animal origin, with research projects funded by the CNPq and FAPEMIG. He has experience in the area of food science and technology, with emphasis on food microbiology, working mainly on the following themes: microbial interactions in milk (microbial antagonism), microbiological quality control (foodstuffs of animal origin) and evaluation of rapid methods used in food microbiology.
