Dr. Andrefsky received his archaeologist degree at the Binghamton University. He is currently an Associate Professor in the UW. Dr. Andrefsky is interested in the ways humans use technology to adapt to environmental and social changes.  He is an expert on the analysis of aboriginal stone technology and has written or edited six books on this topic.  His scholarship in this area earned him the Society for American Archaeology’s Excellence in Archaeological Analysis Award.  Dr. Andrefsky is the current Dean of the Graduate School in WSU.
